If you're neurodiverergent (ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, autism, etc.) AND you're a person of colour, odds are good that how you experience life is not something you talk about. Being a minority of the minorities is not easy, often it's not culturally "an option", and wow can it be lonely. Why not come hang with people who understand -- deeply and intimately -- what living in your skin might be like.
Be a part of one of the only dedicated spaces for neurodivergent people of colour where we can:
- Be ourselves,
- Share tips & life hacks, and
- Find supportive community because of who we are.
The #NDPOC experience is here for you. Come find your people.
You experience the world as a racial minority.
You're formally diagnosed, self-identified, or questioning your neurodivergent status.
You're comfortable with the give-and-take of a live English-language video conference format.
In between #NDPOC live events, stay in touch in the ONE TABLE discussion group. Included in your #NDPOC registration, One Table is our private discussion group for Zoom event participants.
Available all day, all month long, you don't have to wait for the next live group event to stay in touch. Post questions, comment on conversations, and share links to your heart's content.
No ads. No distractions. No hassle.
One Table access is limited to registered members and, as such, is not open to the public.
What happens after the free trial?
Your first three months of live events are *FREE* to attend. On the fourth month, your membership in #NDPOC -- including One Table access -- is USD$5 per month. Membership fees directly fund the cost of hosting the Zoom sessions including the costs of live captioning. You're free to cancel at any time.
Is this a class or a seminar?
While we may host special guests, this is 100% social time. This space is for us to relax, have a laugh, and get to know others who experience life in familiar ways. No lessons. No homework. No pressure.
Is this really a safe space for people of colour?
Autastic.com and The Autastic Academy were founded by a neurodivergent woman of colour. In everything we do, we strive to be inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations, racial identities, nationalities, heritages, faiths, abilities, and more. As an additional level of safety and security, membership in #NDPOC is restricted to those aged 21 and older. Live captioning provided. AAC welcome.
Do I have to have something clever to say?
You do you. We are a "come as you are" community so however you arrive is brilliant. Take breaks. Hang in the chat. Wear a goofy hat. It's all good. Participate as you feel comfortable. Pro tip: pets are always a welcome icebreaker.
Do I have to attend every live event?
This is your social time. Skip some events or just hang out in our One Table space. Make the most of your membership in ways that work for you.
